I am trying to install a celeron 900 into a aopen ax6bc slot 1 motherboard (old EYO Gaming system). I know this can be done as there are a few posts in the aopen e-forum from people who have - even up to 1.1ghz.
Problem is that the machine hangs on power up (before POST) whenever I put the 900 in. This puts me into a catch-22 situation as I cannot adjust the bios when the 900 is installed. I have to put the original 400mhz cpu in to access the bios
Does anyone know what the correct bios settings are?
Also, the sloket is a model SP370. Does anyone know what brand this is as having the jumper settings would help.
