Last night I had a DVD full of divx/xvid videos inserted in player and as I picked up the remote control I must have accidentally pressed one (or more) buttons.

To my surprise I saw the player scan each video on the inserted disk one by one, briefly show a moving thumbnail and then leave a still thumbnail of each video on the screen.

I thought "hey, that's pretty neat" :)

But now I cant remember what button(s) I pressed and can't find anything in the manual about it.

Have I discovered an undocumented feature or should I stop drinking Sambuca while reading manuals? ;)

Not sure, but I think others would be interested in knowing how you did it.

I think you pressed the 'view' button, page 23 of the manual talks about this, (although it only mentions jpeg, svcd/vcd, dvd, and by the time it gets down to the jpeg section, it is calling the key 'the ITEM key' instead of the 'view' key)
I have locked up the player while it's searching if in the wrong 'repeat' mode. (i.e. the Disc Scan option left it just sitting there with 'searching' flashing on the screen, I had to power it off / on)
