Hi guys,
Was just wondering if anyone could tell me firstly if it is possible to get
the "Digital Basic" + "Movies" packages only? And if so, how much per month?
I have guestimated that the "Movies" package will be around $12 - $15 extra
but would like some confirmation, without having to ring Foxtel.
Thanks,
FP.

In the brochure that came with March's tv guide, it states two movie
options -
Movies and Value - $79.95 - basic + (Showtime) Movies + 2 entertainment
blocks
Movie Lovers - $73.90 - basic + Movies Deluxe (all movies - Showtime & Movie
Network)
For me, that means a saving of about $10 or $12 on my current package of
basic, Ent Plus and Movies Deluxe.

Better check the maths then. According to my records, with the Telstra
discount, Essentials + Ent Plus + Movies Plus costs me $79.96 per month. The
Foxtel Digital Platinum (only way you can get ent+ and movies+) will cost me
$85.46 per month (again with the Telstra discount of 10%. So how is this
cheaper? You are getting less than now if you don't get platinum (which may
be OK if that's what you want)

Yes i have seen these prices, but neither of these are what i specified in
my original post.
I don't want the 2 ent. plus packages or the movie network channels.
Basically I would just like to continue receiving the current lineup (on
analogue cable), via foxtel digital and wanted to know how much more this
would set me back per month - if the combination is possible.
$70-odd is hardly a saving in my situation where currently i'm paying around
$43 with telstra rewards discount.

It'd be the price of Basic plus about $12-15 more.
