Anyone out there with a current model Kenwood receiver (I am interested in
the KRF-V6070D in particular but I assume they all operate the same) that
might be able to answer this question?
Is the headphone socket and speakers live at all times? On most current amps
I have researched if you plug phones in it automatically cuts the speakers
and switches to stereo sound. On my old Sony pro-logic you have to push the
A & B buttons to cut the sound to the speakers - the phones work independent
of the speakers at all times. From downloading Kenwood manuals they state to
use phones, turn the speakers off - in other words manual intervention is
required. But it doesn't state the reverse - does the headphone socket
receive a signal while the speakers are on.
The reason I ask is that a member of the household likes to use headphones
at the same time as the speakers to get a more enveloped sound........
