Hopefully someone here might be able to help me- today I bought an Ex-Rental DVD from VideoEzy, I removed the orange Round Sticker which they(and other rental outlets) put in the center of the disk.
The Problem is this:- even though the disk had all of the sticker removed, it obviously didn't have the sticky part removed as I watched the dvd tonight and now doesn't want to come out of the player as Heat and Stickiness on the disk don't really match.
Obviously removing the dvd cover is going to be 1 option, any chance if I switch the player off and let it cool down for a while it(the dvd stuck in the player) may slip out of the place where ever it is stuck - or not really???
It is a Nintaus 9901 player and this is the 1st time it has happened(having a dvd stuck inside the player).
Any help would be great thanks
Try giving it a few 'encouraging' taps above the disc loader as you press eject.
(Not to hard, but hard enough to dislodge the disc)

letting it cool down probably will just make the adhesive harden, removing the dvd casing and manually removing it would be your best bet.

Unfortunately I don't have the right type of Screwdriver on me at the moment- otherwise I would of done something like this. :(
Looks Like I will have to pay someone to do it tomorrow- does anyone here(Melbourne ) know of any decent DVD Player Repairers in the SE suburbs? If so PM or Email me(or just leave it here in this thread).

I would not recommend paying someone to remove the disc, as they will most likely charge $40~$60 for the service.
What sort of screws does it have??

They are the ones with the 3 or 4 notches in the end of them(the end you use to un screw them with a screwdriver) - not the normal straight line across ones. Also not sure how thick they go in.

Like a Torx or other security bit eh?
Most security bits can be bought at Bunnings or a tool store.

l use big kevs goo remover to get sticky stuff off the cases when you peel a price sticker off with no problems how it goes on the disk don`t know
