Infocus X1

Recently purchased an Infocus X1.

Looking for advise on the following,

How to calibrate the X1?

Is there optimal settings for the X1 or this part of calibrating?

Best possible picture quality for Foxtel and free to air?, sporting events are blurry on distant views, eg. bowlers run up, current setup is Foxtel DSD100/Scart/Svideo to Svideo on X1 and free to air VCR/composite to composite on X1.

Any advise would be highly appreciated.
