I have an XMS-888. I wondered if there is anything special you have to do to get it to remember a position when watching a DVD.
The unit will not resume at the point where you last stopped the DVD if you have turned it off (just powered off with the remote, main power switch still on). When you fire it up again it starts off at the beginning again, even though the main power switch was left on and the DVD was not removed form the machine.
The resume button on the remote has little explanation in the manual and appears to do nothing.
My last 2 DVD players had this feature and it is handy when you want to turn the unit off (standby mode) while you do something else and then come back later or the even the next day and pick up where you left off in the DVD.
Thanks
:)
