I don't want to convert you but.....

VirtualDub
Latest Divx Codec
Home Theatre Profile

Will probably give you the most reliable results. It's worth a try isn't it?

There is a topic started here (http://www.xvid.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=2107&highlight=xvid+hardware) that if answered may help you. It is basically the same question as yours.

And this one (http://www.xvid.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=2016&highlight=xvid+hardware) explains that future XVid codec will have the DivX profiles included.

Has there been any news on a new firmware
the only problem im having atm is that on some of my files
it is cut off at the bottom so when i watch subbed anime
or subbed asian movies it cuts off half to 3 quarters of the subs
and makes it difficult to read

I would suggest that your problem is TV overscan....

See this link (http://forums.eyo.com.au/showthread.php?t=53306) for information on how to fix it.

Sorry for the bad news, I don't think this will be fixed by firmware.

If it is then I want it in my machine (Z300) as well!
