You need to work backwards in the sense that once you find the japanese word
for english menu it will all be in english.
Have you thought about looking on a website as some people go to the extreme
of animating the menus to show people how they work.
It would be something like 1 up, 2 right, 3 up, 2 right, 4 down, enter and
it would be fine.
Why dont you just ring Sony and let them talk you through it. People who buy
cameras here do the same thing all the time.
1. Turn the mode dial to "SETUP" - setup menu will appear on LCD.
2. Press down twice on the control button - setting menu 1 (toolbox icon
with number 1) will appear.
3. The fifth menu item is the language setting (small picture of book with
alphabet "A" on the cover).
4. Select "ENGLISH"
Cheers,
Scott
