Help needed to play DVD's on PS2

Hi,
I have 2 DVD's both with the ALL icon and I cant play them. The picture is split into 4, is in black and white and scrolls.
Can anyone help?

You cant play Region All DVDs on a PS2 without the aide of a device such as Region X disc. An Australian PS2 is an R4 player only as standard

Make sure your TV supports NTSC. ALthough ALL region will work in all players, most of the time they're in NTSC format.

from your descriptiuon of the picture, your tv doesn't support NTSC but the disc plays fine
