LG V782W Dvd/Vcr Noise

Hi
I recently brought a dvd vcr in one and when i put in a tape there is a really bad noise, like a big humm. Its really annoying and was wondering if it is normally like this or i have got a dud.

Does this happen on every tape you put in it?

Try recording some TV and then play it back and see if the problem exists. If it does then I'd say it is time to return it.

I havent had this prob, however mine is currently in having work on the optical out as it wasnt working and cds sound like hell when you play them!
