XMS-750 Optical Output

:) I have an XMS-750 and it has been a fine machine for my needs. I am now trying to use the Optical Output to copy a CD to a MiniDisc. I hoped it would be just a case of plugging the optical cable into the XMS-750 and the MiniDisc Recorder, but the MiniDisc keeps comming up with the message 'No Signal'. I have lost the instruction manual (surprise, surprise ) and was wondering if anyone knew whether there is a setting I have to alter to get the Optical Output working :confused:

go into the setup menu and set the output to pcm
