Well folks it has happened. Was booked in for tomorrow AM digital install.
The INSTALLER just called and wanted to cancel. Told them it would be
tomorrow or the service would be cancelled. They could not tell me when the
new booking would be. On the phone to Foxtel waiting now. What a
joke.........

Why on earth is there so many stuff ups this week?.I think between this
newsgroup and the auspaytv forum i have seen about 10 or so cancelations.

I think they underestimated the time to install the return lines. I was
quoted 2 hours and the bloke was here for 4 hours. Dunno????

STOP PRESS - 8.30pm I just rang the installers. They have now advised they
will be doing it tomorrow after all. Amazing what a few well placed threats
of cancellation can do - although they have probably just bumped someone
else...........
Foxtel Supervisor also just called but didn't know anything of the problem.
Filled her in briefly but as the install seems to be going ahead anyway left
it at that for the moment.

It was the installer (not Foxtel) who called to cancel - got their number
from them (they didn't block caller ID anyway). Some company called Arriba
or something like that. Am in Sydney although the installer who called was
in Newcastle.

Ahh k ta. Was supposed to have mine yesterday too. They come out today, he
tells us what needs to be done. Ask him if he can leave the cable and let us
do the job of putting it through existing conduit (dish is in the back
yard).. says ok and to call up when we're finished.. call up, then I hear
MAY.
called again tonight.. nothing they can do.. even threatened to cancel. Wish
I knew the installers' number here in brizzy.. would rather do that
but may try gettin foxtel to contact them again tomorrow
