I would appreciate any inforamtion form any of you that has experienced DVD's bubbling from the centre of the disk (becoming unplayable). This has now happened to two of my older disks.
Can they be fixed?
Cheers
Vinnie.

I'm pretty sure you're referring to bubbles surfacing between the layers.
If this is the case, your DVD's have been reduced to frisbees. :(

R U leaving them in the sun or something?
Really, if these bubbles are appearing thru no fault of yours I'd contact the people who released the disc, tell them and demand a replacement.

This is what they refer to as dvd rot.It happened on some of the early dvd's due to them using the wrong adhesive between the layers. The problem was corrected in the manufacturing process and the faulty discs should be replaced by the distributor. That dosent help you much if you imported the titles and you cant get it back to them:rolleyes:

Not necessarily true.
A while back I sold Heidi_v24 a copy of Heathers: LTD Tin, only when she played it, nothing came up. It seemed to be a problem with the LTD release, so I packed up the disc with a slip printed off the net, and posted it straight back to Anchor Bay.
Sure enough, a month later had a working replacement :D
Only cost six bucks shipping and saved my reputation in Trader References ;) LOL j/k.
