Editing posts

Admins you can delete this afterwards, just wanted to know when you edit posts why sometimes the little "last edited..." doesn't appear, other times it does. Just a small nuisance that's all. Thanks.

I'm sure I read somewhere that if a member edits a message soon after it's posted (say within 1-2 minutes), the edit message doesn't show. If you edit after a longer period of time, it will say that you have.
If a Mod edits your message, it should say so, but if an Admin does it doesn't. :)

Don't know if this has been of much help, but I'll go have a look around when I have more time and I'll try to give you a better reply. :)

Mods can also edit posts within the 2 minutes and it doesn't show. :)

Thanks Watcher and Karmond, it all makes sense.

I think my experience of the 'edited' message appearances follows Watcher's theory.
