Foxtel digital install and the new phone line

Hi all,

I have Foxtel coming tomorrow to install the new digital STU and phone line
but i am in the middle of renovating a couple of rooms and so not want them
to complete the phone line install as i have my own electrician doing a
bunch of work next week and would like my newly plastered walls to stay
nice....

So the question is will/can they complete the install without having a fully
functioning return line ?

I guess it depends on the technician and how easy it is for him to get to
your place. In my case the phone connection was not done as the technician
did not have any ADSL filters. He will return next week to complete. He only
lives one suburb away.

Then instal and activation of the STU can be done without the return path -
it will be dependent on the technician if he is willing to skip this
"requirement"
