LG DVD recorder with 80GB HDD $1499

[AJOS]

I noticed in a recent 'Clive Anthonys' catalogue/flyer an ad for a LG 80GB
DVD recorder.

They were unable to tell me the model number - 'as it is not yet in stock',
and I can't seem to find the recorder on the web..

Anyone know anything about it??

Yes, I have one on order. It burns both - and + and apparently is
capable at transferring at 8times from HD to disc. Still does NOT
provide for DV in AND out.

I understand that it only has analog tuner - when will someone make a DVD recorder with adigital tuner???

Says the machine will be available May, I hope this means Australia too..

It states it will record HD TV.. does Australia use the same HD standards as
the US ie "It can record high definition programming with its ATSC
and NTSC tuners", we're PAL but what about ATSC??
