could there be a way that you could block voting in the polls after 6 months or so to stop threads from popping up 2 years later cause someone thought they would cast there votes 2 years later :confused:
I think whoever creates the poll can set a close time.
There is another quick fix, that is to block the silly bugger who votes old polls. In our case, the culprit is sharperedBlade.

I'm pretty sure that the person who starts a poll can actually set duration of the poll.
The problem we've had recently is that a particular member of these forums has been a bit of a smart arse and decided to drag up all those old polls. There is a bit more to this, but I know who they are and they have been contacted. ;) ;) ;)

oh right, sorry....l`ve never done a poll, so didn`t know you could set the duration :confused: :)
