Can anyone tell me if the 32PW9617 supports RGB input through it's SCART
plugs? Can't find any info in the manual.

Not necessarily, I have a 76cm Philips WS SDTV (model 32PW8806 from
memory).

It has 3 SCART ports with the following capabilities:
EXT-1: Composite/RGB
EXT-2: Composite/S-Video/RGB
EXT-3: Composite

And RCA and S-video inputs on the front.

Have a look and see if you can find your model on the *UK* Philips page
as that has more information on the SCART abilities (this information is
thoughtfully omitted from the Australian manuals) as they are virtually
the same. http://www.philips.co.uk

Just looked, that's a model up from mine (576p?). From:
http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/3/32pw9617_12/32pw9617_12_pss_eng.pdf

It says
"Reception
Side
? S-Video (Y/C) in
? CVBS Video in
? Audio L/R (cinch/RCA) in
? Headphone Jack 3,5 mm out
Back
? Euro A/V connector Ext1 (RGB in,CVBS in/out)
? Euro A/V connector Ext2 (RGB in,S-Video in/out, CVBS in/out)
? Euro A/V connector Ext3 (CVBS in)
? Euro A/V connector Ext4 (CVBS in)
? Stereo Audio out (cinch) Constant/Variable level
? Surround sound out (cinches and click-fits)
? Subwoofer sound out (cinches)
? SP-DIF input (cinch):Dolby Digital (AC3), MPEG 2,PCM digital audio"

You will want to use a SCART->SCART cable connected to Ext1 or Ext2 on
your TV with the STU set to Aspect Ratio: By TV and Picture: RGB.
