When changing channels using the number keys on this stb, for some reason it
seems to put a 1 infront of the first number I press. anyone else with this
problem? If I press another channel immediately after this it works
perfectly.

I have this Teac DV-B400 stb.
No,
my unit does not do what you have reported.
Try pulling stb from powerpoint for 20 secs, then pwer-up again.
This may reset stb and end that problem.

As does my teac 300. I only notice it the first time I use the number keys
after using the Jump button.
