Does anyone have feedback (good or bad) regarding the Panasonic QTR2140 HD
receiver or the Toshiba HD-S23 HD receiver?. I'm looking at replacing my
DGTEC 2000A.

I have it on good authority that Topfield are working on a HD STB. I assume that it would incorporate features found on their upper level SD STB such as twin tuners and hard drive recorder.

I'd do the same if they weren't so bloody expensive.
Reason I want to do it, is so I can use component video cables, via my AV
receiver which does component video switching.

Apparently less than 10% of accidents are caused by drivers exceeding the speed
limit.

I looked at both Panasonic and Toshiba. Basically it came down to price.
I was able to purchase the Panasonic for $790 and the best I could get the
Toshiba for was $860. So I bought the Panasonic and am more than happy with
it. No problems at all.
Hope this helps.

You can get the Toshiba at Hantrex for $799 delivered and it is a much better box than the Panasonic. If possible, get the two together in a showroom and compare - you'll always pick the Toshiba with better picture quality. Also, fewer bugs with the Toshiba.
