I'm still not convinced that we need a whole new section for gaming yet.
Don't get me wrong, as I'm all for video games, and chatting about them, but we can do that in General Chat.
There have been a few threads on gaming in the past, but they soon vanish don't get brought back again.
Hell.... I think I even started an official gaming thread a couple of months ago, but that soon lost its steam and hasn't been seen in ages.

Please feel free to post messages about gaming in General Chat and maybe one day when there are a lot more active threads on gaming, we can look at a new section. :)

This isn't an invite to suddenly bombard General Chat with new gaming threads in the hope of getting a new section though. :p :p

Please feel free to continue to discuss this subject folks.

Ok, whats the problem with creating a gaming section, is it going to be overly difficult to create it? is it that its a lot more work for you watcher or something. I've heard that these type of forums are annoying to create and manage, if its really difficult thats fair enough.

I mean if you dont want to moderate it, i will. there is obviously a lot of support for it, and i think there will be more support if it is started. My main reason for wanting it is coz posting in general isnt really the same. Like when i created a C&C Generals thread, no one discussed the game, instead people just started rambling about other stuff. Since then i havent been too keen to start threads about other games.

I don't know about there being a lot of support for it.
The vote in this thread only has 9 votes saying yes,and that isn't even accurate as it appears that someone (I know who you are) thought that they could get away with taking part in the vote with more than one account. *sigh*
This is not a good move when you are trying to get the Mods and Admin to help you out.

I agree that it can be very frustrating, but it happens all the time and I can see it still happening in a new Gamers section too.

Yes, creating a new Gamers section can take a bit of time to get organised and up and running.

Now, having said all that.........:)

I have talked to the boss and there will be a Gamers section added to the forum soon, but it will be a trial forum.
Any sign of piracy, or it being mis-used and the new section will be deleted and threads that aren't locked up will be moved to General Chat.

Yeah, well the next time that person does the slightlest thing wrong, I'll kill their account and not let them back in.
If what they do wrong has anything remotely to do with the Gamers section, I'll kill the Gamers section completely and make it clear that it was due to the actions of that person.
