View Full Version : Game: Rate The Avatar of The Person Above You.

I've seen this concept before done on other Forums, and it normally pans out quite well. I don't know how it'll work here, this being a smaller Forum than those other ones, but I figure it's worth a shot anyway.
Instructions:
Give the person above you a rating out of Ten (eg. 8/10) for their avatar, along with any comments, questions about the origin, etc. And try to be nice.
Don't rate your own avatar, as that's just stupid. And, if you would like to rate somebody else's avatar who may not be directly don't worry about it and just rate it.

I give yours about 2/10.
The reason for this is that it's pretty much a picture that has been copied from another source.
Another reason for the low score is that it doesn't do anything like animate or provide a laugh/spark much interest.
Don't take this peronally scratch, this is my opinion of the avatar and you did ask. :)
Maybe someone else will be a huge South Park fan and absolutely love it.

Ditto. (It has sort of been copied from another source, but altered - as has mine).
Although, i'll give you 1 extra for the W-A-T-C-H-E-R letters.

I've done some thinking.. and I can't really prove that your eyes are just copied from another source.. Can you clarify this for me Watcher?
I've been doing some more thinking and yours does sort of fit your title, and give that spark effect.. so I've added another point.

I give Watcher a 5/10. I like it because it's a little scary, it's animated and fits the nick. I deducted marks because I don't like the red in the eyes, but I can't think of another colour that would look better.

I would rate yours -10 because you only like the older pearl jam songs :p
I would rate yours 4/10 because it isn't animated, and it seems to be stretched across so it looks a bit funny to me.
The colors are all good. With a bit of a touch up to fix the stretching it would be all good.

Yeah, I have to agree it's not the best avatar I've had to date, but I like it because it's a tiger. A lot of ones i like are too big and when I shrink them down, a lot of detail is lost :( If anyone can find me something better with a tiger theme, can you please post it in this (http://forums.eyo.com.au/showthread.php?t=38882) thread. Thanks :)

scratch, the eyes are based on the Big Brother eyes from a couple of years ago. I did them by hand, but made them more evil and coloured them in Photoshop. I then copied them in different frames with different fades along with the different frames of text. I then stuck it all together with an animation program to get the final result.
I rate your's on weather you support the tigers or not if you do it would be less ;) j/k lol
I'd probably say 3 out of 10 siliigrrl ( I'll get the spelling right one day ) I think it's a 3 because it does looked stretched and it just dosn't jump out and grab me, sorry but I had to say what I thought of it but the 3 means I still like the idea of it. :)

No, I don't support the tigers :D I love tigers (the animals) because they use to be the largest of the Big Cats, are one of the few of the cats that actually like water, and are really graceful animals. I have a picture in my lounge room that is a picture of just the eyes of a tiger, the Hobbes avatar has a similar effect which is why its elongated. I also have a tiger tattooed on my back :) I don't mind that people don't like it, I don't like some of the others. Oh, and I met David Duchoveny 3 years ago, jealous? ;)

BTW there are some av's that move so I've heard my computer for some reason they don't, and on mine watchers for eg: is just a square. Why is this so ???????? because I wouldn't have a clue. :eek:

Hehe, we just need DVDer in here so we can overthrow this thread too with O/T stuff :D About 3 years ago, I started dating this guy and he won a competition for the David Duchoveny movie Evolution. It included return airfares to Sydney, premiere of the movie, afterparty with the stars, meet David , have your photo taken with him and a night at a 5 star hotel. We met David, ran away to mingle with the other 'stars" and missed out on the photo op but we didn't care because we weren't big fans.
Back on topic, I'll change my avatar now to something animated. It's Gir from Invader Zim rolling around on the floor. Only people who have seen the show will have any hope of understanding it. Thanks go to Rowdy for fixing it up for me. :)
I'd give SirFoxeys a 8/10. It's cute, original, animated, funny and has a penguin in it. Deducted marks because it has Bill Gates ugly mug in it :PI

I like your avatar MouldyFish, it's really cute. I'd fill in the background to match the EYO banner and fix the pixelation a little bit (it looks a bit grainy at the moment)

I agree - what you have as your avatar should be entirely up to you (within reason of course). Other people's opinion shouldn't influence what you want as your avatar.
Although.. I do like that Invader Zim one more than the before one.
I was actualy thinking about doing up a new avatar this morning, so I don't mind putting my current one on the chopping table.
