Is there a program that can tell you what version of Divx and encoding options have been used to encode ?

Also I note mention of a test Divx CD in the threads.... DL from P2P is taking weeks. Is there a direct DL link/site ?

thanks
Ray

There are quite a few different programs that will give you the info you want, check out www.divx.com they have a couple there, you will also find a lot of good info on www.dvdrhelp.com As far as the Divx test cd goes you're not really missing out on much. It's 650m of small sample files of about 10 seconds each in a variety of bit rates and encoder varieties. It's not complete but has a reasonable range of samples, it's really only useful for determining if a stand alone player handles particular file types. If you have a stand alone player someone may have already tried it anyway, posting some info about what you are wanting to know might get you some more useful info. If you still want it though have a search through the threads, there was a direct link posted to a German ftp site previously which is where I got it from. It did take about 3 hours though, which I think was about as fast as the site could upload.

Just found the link again if you are still after the test disc, this is where I eventually ended up getting it from, the original site was way too slow.
