They all have that logo, it was an oversight by the factory. It has been mentioned to the distributors that it should be changed if and when a firmware update is made available.

I just got my Trio-628 yesterday and mine has a big blue TRIO as the splash screen. Maybe there has been a firmware upgrade.

It would be from a second shipment, the first shipment were all wrong. May not be a different firmware though, when there is a newer firmware available you will find it on trio's website http://www.triocorp.com.au/Downloads.aspx

Yep, but I also dont get the Timer during AVI playback that everyone seams to report. Thats gone as per the flash screen so there has to be some major changes in the firmware.

Cool... can't wait to get my hands on this update to see if it helps the visual playback stutter.

Stutter, well I've played back quite a few DivX 5 and recent Xvid stuff with VBR MP3 & AC3 audio and both NTSC and PAL, again I havent seen any stutter. Is it video or audio stutter? Is it known what causes it (high bit rate, certain codec, audio, etc) ?
