There has been quite a bit of rework with this MPEG-4 player, what with all the firmware revisions. Also, if you own one of these players, you will know that the manual that came in the box was not entirely useful/correct.

I dont know about you, but when I pick up the remote I am unsure if the current combinations of buttons will activate my player's launch or self destruct sequences!!??

So here is my suggestion... With everyone working on testing the XMS-888, lets make some notepad notes of how this player works with the current 1.2 version firmware. Then gather all these files together on the website and provide some quasy-formal doccos.

What do you think? We can use this paper trail to make sure that every byte of firmware is covered and fully tested. Heck, there might even be some interest from the manufacturer on the final document... :dD

We are still waiting on the next release of the firmware so there may be some small changes yet again, if you haven't seen it already check out andw's site, he has the most complete collection of what works etc www.xms888.tk It would be nice to have it all complete as one document, particularly for those that haven't been playing with these for long. I don't know about the manufacturers being interested though, their English is very poor, I don't think they would even notice. If you had seen the broken English emails that I have from them you would know what I mean.
