VAF will be exhibiting at the Home Entertainment Show at the Melbourne
Exhibition Centre this Thursday, Friday, Sat & Sun.
Our entire current range will be on show and we will also be showcasing some
new innovations:
1)
A revolutionary SoundWall (Patent Pending TM) concept. This may interest
aus.audio-visual.home-cinema and aus.hi-fi participants as in the one
concept it can deliver very high quality sound, correct the acoustics of
almost any room, house a plasma/LCD screen or even act as a high quality
projection screen itself. It can also be coloured to blend/disappear in the
room or be printed to make a bold statement. If that isn't enough to get
your interest, it also allows cable management minimising the need to run
cables through walls.
2)
Prototypes of a New DC-X will also be on audition and available for advance
order. At $2499pr for fully assembled in timber cabinets, the DC-X is set to
re-establish itself as the absolute benchmark for performance at its price.
Each woofer is in its own cabinet and the relationship between the drivers,
the cabinet boundaries and the ports is ideal in each with each woofer
damped through the others voice coil. We also use twin tweeters in a time
aligned and angled configuration which is very unusual and all new woofers
and tweeters are also magnetically shielded. Preliminary data sheets will be
available at the show as will auditions. The Data Sheets uncommonly show
both smoothed and unsmoothed actual MLSSA measurement as well as impulse and
step response....and still no crossover on the woofers!

An all new LFE-100 subwoofer The New LFE-100, also $2499, is almost totally
VAF proprietary. The controller, amplifiers, power supplies are all
Australian made, even the extreme long throw XLS woofer is purpose built for
VAF and is also magnetically shielded. Deep, powerful, ultra-low distortion,
tuneful bass in a truly tiny cabinet. The relationship between the moving
mass of the drivers and the mass of the air driven by them is also uncommon.
This makes it easy to place the LFE-100 very close to other room boundaries
without audibly changing the tuned frequency of the system.
As usual, special show pricing on many VAFmodels, full systems and third
party electronic equipment will also be offered.
On top of these discounts, we also want to sell the Show display stock so
extra special pricing will be offered on these. Each year the display stock
is grabbed early so come on the first or second day if you want to buy any
of this. You will need to arrange pickup yourself though on Sunday
immediately following the show.
