I was going to get a Sony camcorder, but have found the Panasonic NV-DS60A
on sale online for $660!! When it is normally $998
Does anyone have any comments on this?? I want to mainly make VHS tapes and
DVD's of my holiday in September.

I borrowed the Panasonic 60 off a friend of mine a few months back and found it to be a bit poor indoors . The main thing i complain about is the fact that on lighting conditions indoors ( opening curtains , switching lights brighter or dimming ) the auto functions can take up to 20 seconds to adjust which became very annoying . I cant compare to the Sony but outdoors the Panasonic was excellent .

Thanks, I ended up buying it and am very happy with it - with the exeption
of the crappy software that came with it and the fact that I have to spend
another $100 to get cords to plug it into my PC! But for $660 it is great!
