Greets again
Am looking at buying this DVD as a replacement for my XMS 750 - has anybody got any info on this machine and comparision with the XMS 750.
Any help would be grateful.
Cheers

I bought one of these machines about 3 weeks ago to replace my Rank Arena, and am Extremely pleased with it. So far I have not have a single problem with it, and it has played everything I have thrown into it perfectly(DVD/VCD/SVCD/MP3 etc).
I don't have an XMS 750, so I can't compare it to that, but I will give a brief comparison to my Rank Arena unit.
The visual image is alot sharper and clearer than the Rank Arena and I have not had one problem with the disc sticking or jumping, even when playing a scratched disc the Rank Arena definitely would not play.
The 5.1 Audio does not suffer from the distortion on Analog 5.1 out while playing Concert DVD's like my Rank Arena did either, it is crystal clear on both 5.1 and DTS analog and digital out
The box states that it is a Panasonic Drive in the unit which the Earlier Rank Arena's used (unfortunately they changed the RA's drive to some unknown brand and that was when the problems with the RA machines started).
The unit is Region 0 and Macrovision free out of the box, I haven't tried a Region 1 RCE disc in it so don't know if they will play or not as the Region Code cannot be manually changed on this machine.
The only downside I have found is the forward scan being 8x/16x/32x/48x, I would have preferred it to have a 2x/4x scan speed aswell, but that is a minor issue for such a great machine.
