I just brought a set of 5.1ch speakers for my XMS-950 DVD player but I'm unable to get all the speakers to work. It is still only using 2 of the speakers. I have gone into the speaker setup page and turned down mix off but all of the other speaker setup menu options (Centre, rear, S/W, centre delay and rear delay) are disabled and I'm unable to change any of those settings.
Does anyone know why those options would be disabled or able to tell me what I'm doing wrong.
Possibly if someone could tell me how to reset the factory default settings it might allow me to change those settings.
thanks for any help you can provide.

It needs to be in 6 channel mode, also make sure that you have karaoke turned off if there is a menu option for it. Also try this with no disc in the drive. I don't have one of these in front of me but if you can list the options that you have available in the audio and preference menus I can tell you what is set wrong.

Thanks heaps, the karaoke was turned on. Once that was turned off all the menu options became active.
