What was your last remembered dream/nightmare?
mine was I was at the beach with my girlfriend and there was a scorpion, it stung me and my girlfriend told me it would kill me so she'd get me to hospital, on the way she wanted to stop and pick flowers and we got out of the car and a spider bites me and then a snake bites me then she takes me to my mums house and give my mum the scorpion and she says it was poisonous and that we should go to hospital, she says to take the scorpion with us and puts it in a baking pan with a tea-towel on top and hands it to me and the scorpion grabs my hand and stings me over and over and I wake up.
hehe - this stuff fascinates me - am always meaning to get a book to understand it but always forget
hmm the last (really weird) memorable one I had was:
for some reason I was at Town Hall Station after uni, trying to get home, and they only had Westbuses instead (oh and for some reason the walkways were those of parra station, leading outside into sunlight directly from the train area, and it led out onto the park behind my house where all the buses were lined up) and for some reason I was pregnant (by one of my maybe friends) an there were lots of people milling about, all annoyed over having to take buses, and for some reason the bus number I needed to take wasn't there, and it just kept seeming to repeat itself, and I never got anywhere, it was like I was isolated and...yes well, somehow my dreams have no sense of logic anywhere....:PI

I'd gladly forget mine, cos they are largely attached to my inner most thoughts and worries, but the other night I had a nice old dream that a giant church bell fell on me, and the ringing of it woke me up....
And who can forget after a 8 hour session of Final Fantasy VII, when I had a dream and everyone in the dream had health points under them....

LOL you have some serious issues with poisonous creatures....erm and your girlfriend needs to get her priorities straight!
I don't recall anything specific from my dreams. I mean I know I have them but I forget the details. I'll even tell someone about it but within a day I've totally forgotten it. I do recall my childhood dreams (read nightmares) incredibly vividly, though. I was forever being chased by stereotypical monsters...Dracula, Frankenstein, Werewolves etc. but I always escaped them by flying away. I remember the euphoria I'd feel when I was flying. I've not flown in a dream since I was a kid. Another thing I remember about my dreams as a kid are the 'love' dreams. When you dream that you're totally and utterly in love with some faceless someone and you actually feel the intensity of that emotion. I used to wish I could go back to sleep and keep dreaming that dream *sighs* Innocence lost.
I also tend to have er...performance issues in a lot of my dreams. I'll go to punch or shoot something (one of the many monsters I encounter) and the bullet will just plop out of the gun and roll on the floor or my punch will be as weak as a kittens
Yeah..so um...great weather we're having lately eh? *burps*

I had a dream that I discovered I had a terminal illness and had 24 hours to live. Then I spent it cleaning out my locker at school.

l`ve had a few of the flying ones a couple of years ago and it is a great feeling...a couple of times when l finished flying l tried to jump and keep flying but to no avail :rolling:
l remember dreaming l was riding my bike up this giant hill and l was going to jump to the other side, l was half way when l fell, l remember slowly falling down and down went for ages and when l was near the bottom l stopped then spun to a upright position and my feet touched the ground then l walked away ( but the sensation of slowly falling was great )

I had one a few years back, and I was in a F1 car racing, but they more looked liked the ones in TimeZone on Final Lap or Pole Position, whatever it was called..
I got in a spin, and must've done about 30 360's at what felt like 200mph... But the feeling was the same as that of falling in a dream......

Just started looking for some answers on the web for what different things may represent and found these so far...
Top 10 dream symbols
Did you kiss a frog in your dream? Or was money falling from trees? Check out the most common dream symbols for clues to the real meanings of your dreams. For symbols not listed here, try our cool online dream dictionary.
1. Kisses.
Kisses represent acceptance and release. A passionate lip lock that lasts for a long time indicates that you are letting go of old problems. A passionate frontal kiss also signifies new beginnings. A dream of “unseen kisses”, when you can feel a phantom lover kissing your body, is your subconscious alerting you to trust your intuition as concerns day-to-day situations.
2. Money.
Money in your dreams indicates that good luck is coming your way. Your subconscious is alerting you to have a more positive attitude so that all types of fortune can more easily find you. The amount of money and how it comes to you are the most significant factors. · Dreaming of finding money indicates that you will soon benefit from a friendship.· A dream that includes picking up a penny off the ground could indicate that friends or family are about to disappoint you. · Big bills, winning the lottery and large amounts of gold coins are all indicators of good luck in the near future. · A small amount of money in most situations usually means that you are being given less than you deserve by someone close to you.
3. Water.
Water can symbolize many things in dreams. A pool of water can represent your emotional nature. Still water represents a calm state of mind. Deep water represents emotional maturity. Moving through water represents an acceptance of changes in your emotional attitude. If you panic in your dream, because you are swimming but not getting anywhere, this may represent the consequences of your internal stubbornness. The desire to get to the edge of a pool is the mind’s need for the security of logic over emotion.
4. Nudity
Nudity in dreams represents vulnerability. Without the barrier of clothes your inner self and true feelings are exposed to those whom you would prefer didn’t know the real you. When someone else is naked in your dreams, it represents your psyche undergoing changes. If it is an older man or authority figure, your decision-making ability is under severe assault. If a child or other vulnerable person is disrobed, indicates that a crossroads is approaching and you may be forced to speak up and demand that your rights and feelings be considered.
5. Loss of a valuable object.
Lost or misplaced items indicate frustration with a current situation that won’t change without drastic action. The actual lost item explains your frustration. · Something that holds sentimental value may indicate frustration in a family or love relationship. · Lost money indicates frustration with financial issues or frustration with a friendship dominated by the other person. · A missing person means you’re losing touch with part of yourself. · A common object represents the everyday world. · Not being able to find it an object illustrates increasing frustration about the situation.
6. Colors.
Colors have very deep meaning in dreams. They represent the immediate future and their significance increases based on the amount of a color in a particular dream. For example, receiving a green box may mean that you will be going on a short trip. Walking into a green room means a much longer vacation is headed your way. · Blue indicates that a new friend will come into your life. · Black means solitude or loneliness is ahead. · Brown symbolizes safety and security. · White represents authority and absolutes. · Red means your devotion to someone is about to be challenged. · Green represents travel. · Yellow is the color of illness, alerting you to take better care of yourself. · Purple represents aloofness or one-on-one time with your mate. · Orange indicates sexual tension; a reminder to remember your sexual needs.
7. Flying.
Flying is extremely common in dreams and usually represents frustration or unhappiness. It also can represent a lack of control over your life or indicate that your own inflated ego is causing unhappiness, sending a strong message that you should take control of your life. Flying can also signify exhibitionistic wishes, sexual pleasure, and the desire to recapture childhood.
8. Running
Running in dreams illustrates that your goals are out of reach if you stay on your current path. Usually, running means drastic change in your life is required. If you dream of running from someone, it indicates a relationship from the past has some loose ends that need tying up. If you are running to meet someone in a dream, you should reconsider your current relationship. If you are running in a marathon or parade, you might consider changes in your employment situation.
9. Sex
Though a sexual dream may be about pleasure, it doesn’t signal physical intimacy with the person in your dream. Sex in a dream is not a prediction of things to come. But it could be about power, success, sexual potency, manipulation or even your subconscious rewarding you for a job well done. Your sex partner in a dream represents a side of your personality that is developing. Dreaming of sex with a friend means you are becoming a better friend to all of your friends. A dream of sex with a relative can be a stressful thought, but actually means you are on better terms with your family. Sex with someone from your school indicates that you are becoming a better student.
10. Death
Dreaming of death can be traumatic but it is actually an indicator of life events. Witnessing a death in your dream usually coincides with major changes in life, like starting a new year of school or moving to a new apartment. Death can illustrate endings as well as beginnings. What can seem unbearably sad as a dream may actually signal positive change. Recurring dreamsYour mind uses recurring dreams to solve problems. They are an indicator that you are nearing a major breakthrough and your mind is rehearsing for the changes on the horizon.

Very interesting topic, I can interpret some dreams (unfortunately it is a "gift" passed on to me from my great grandmother) but I won't do it in this forum for fear of negative reputation points ;)
My sister is a wierd one, she dreams of people who have died....I have countless stories of people who have died and told her things in her dreams that no one else knew. It freaks me out!
One of the weird ones she had was this - a friend's dad died 5 years ago and on the evening of the day he was buried my sister dreamt that he told her his feet were cold, he told her this everyday for a whole month.
She felt she needed to tell the friend about seeing her dad in multiple dreams saying his feet were cold. This is where it gets freaky...the friend was absolutely shocked, she told my sister that her and her sisters were the only ones who knew that they buried their father without shoes on.... mind you my sister didn't have any contact with her freinds family as they lived interstate so there was no way she could have known.
As soon as she told her friend about her father, the dream stopped. I don't know why she has these dreams, but she isn't afraid of the unknown - I tell you I would s**t myself if I had dreams about dead people.

I used to have night terrors (where you wake up unconsciously and start to wander around and do things while terrified for some reason).
I was calmed down by watching a Robbin Williams Dolphin Documentry.

I had a dream last week which was total FUBAR.
There we're the orange balloons hanging from the roof, and they we're full of spiders.. The balloons we're being set on fire, and burning the spiders, except naturally the balloon in front of me, the fire just burnt a hole in the balloon and all these bloody spiders fell out, so I had to squish them... Being arachnophobic, it wasn't the best dream to have
