From memory this player was a problem and couldn't be done via remote, I think from memory the only option was a hardware mod, I could be wrong though I haven't had one of these for a while. You can confirm by calling Kenwood and speaking to the service dept

Kenwood Service Dept were extreemly unhelpful. I used to have a DVF-3060 which was multi-region however the unit blew up in a thunderstorm late last year. I foolishly assumed that the new model would likewise be multi-region (which was the primary driver for having bought the Kenwood home theatre in the first place) I have been sadly disappointed with the fact that the new unit is region locked.
