Digitrex GK3000 Mulitzone?

hi, Ive just brought a Digitrex GK3000, and am interested to know if it is multzone? - ive read on the web that it is, but out of the box it says it is zone 4. does anyone know if i need a hack to make it multizone??

oh and is there anyway to make it macro free?

any info would be great!
