View Full Version : Importing DVD HDD recorder from Japan, will it work in Australia?

Anyone know for sure if a DVD recorder imported from Japan will be able to pick up our Australian TV channel frequencies?
Japan uses NTSC so the tuner will be different.

Tasman AV (Melbourne) are running a special on the HS2, what I paid $2400
for only 15mths ago is now down to $1295
That pees me off somewhat but I guess it's the nature of anything electronic
these days....
That price is going to upset a lot of retailers - JB are still trying to
ring $1850 out of us for the same thing...
Better hurry though as they only have 30 units in stock.
