Hi,
I hope it doesn't happen to my copy.
Is there anyway to prevent it or slow the process down a bit?
Also I recall they found the culprit to be the glue used in the bonding process and I thought that they changed it already, is this true? If so when did they change it?
Thanks
Is it the single sided or double sided disc?

It's the movie disc of the 2 disc set.I cant see any noticable blemishes on the disc but about a chapter and a half or so near the layer change is affected.

but i bet u already know that lol :pNo, I ment if disc rot happens to you just sell it to an unsuspecting victim on eBay ;) - you would never buy a copy off eBay unless it was unusally priced.
And if you have the metal case then you'd sell it without the case and just buy a brand new one (which wouldn't have the metal case) from any online store.
Because I doubt Ancher Bay would be kind enough to replace the disc a "foriener" bought.

 I couldn't do that. If I sell something it must be worth what I am charging. :dD
Though it is true ebay usually has overpriced goods there are others that do sell at decent prices such as Mac and some others that I've seen.
Thanks for your input though

Remind me never to buy off you in Ebay, dont you think thats unfair to the poor person who pays the money into your account and you have given them a dud dvd? I know I would be really upset that someone had ripped me off like that.

Fair tradeing laws dictate that any company must replace a product that is faulty in it's manufacture. If artisan produced a bad batch of discs there is no way they can dodge there resposibility to replace them. The only tricky part is me being on the other side of the world but that dosent mean it still cant be worked out.

yes but what im saying is that how long ago did you buy your product? They will probably just say well you bought x amount of time ago and if it was working before why isnt it working now.(even though you say it has dvd rot ,they may just see it differently). The law dosnt meen anything really unless you are willing to goto court in the u.s for $40).This is withstanding the fact the dvd isnt supposed to be sold outside america.
As i i said good luck but dont hold your breath.
