Nintaus N9808 macrovision crack or code wanted

I just bought one of these from JB hi-fi. It has macrovision enabled which is a pain in the arse.

Can anyone tell me how to access the secret/hidden menus that will allow you to disable this 'feature'.

I've seen instructions on the net that tell you to enter 9926 or 2296 after ejecting the tray but this does not work.

Would love to hear from anyone that has a crack or firmware upgrade for the Nintaus N9808 - please help!

I found a site that had a whole heap of instructions in regards to unlocking the player.

I have the same model (N9808), and this is what I did:
1. Open the disc tray
2. Press 'Setup'
3. Press '1', '3', '6', '9'
4. Press "Left" 3 times
5. Press "Right" once
6. A new menu entry appears (Version). Select it
7. Select RC (0=Codefree)
8. Press 'Setup'.

This unlock code (without the first step) was actually for the N9801/N9868, and it worked. The code that you put down was actually supposed to be for the 9808, so I don't know how they screwed that up. I'm not sure how you can unlock the macrovision function, but I could do my best to have a look around and find out.
