View Full Version : Loss of Signal Dgtec
Woke up this morning and have 'loss of signal' on all channels.
I own a Dgtec 2000b, have disconnected power - no good.
I reset the defaults - performed a new scan - can't find any channels.
Cables are fine etc. - It worked yesterday!.
STB is only several months old.
Can anyone shed any info?.

I had one (for a while, anyway) and found that disconnecting the power by
pulling the plug out fixed it when that happened, which was several
occasions, I might add.
I know you said you tried it, but try it again.

Hi,
Got that problem a while back, I unplugged mine for about 2 hours and then
put back in and re-scanned, and all came good. Know you
said you disconnected it too but maybe need to take out the power for a bit
longer if you only unplugged it for a few minutes.

I picked up one of these from JB at $233 mainly because it had RCA component outputs.
The bad: The manual is an abomination. The KISS principal applied without thought for the fact that we dodos don't know what the go is and need an explanation and pics to get us through the processes.
1st box would not pick up a signal from the outset, just showed "loss of signal", that cost me some time while I set up on another outlet to ensure I had a clean strong signal.
Phoned the hotline to see if I could get help, no hotline on the weekend,
Took box 1 back, JB tested it, just showed "loss of signal", got a new one.
Box 2 picked up a signal and found the stations but has hum in the audio and noise bars accross the screen.
It will be going back to JB (more of my time wasted) and this time I will look at other boxes since this thing seems to be rubbish.
Overall: Its fit for the garbage
