what if you wanna keep storing more than 5 games?plus isnt the hd 1 gig?

Hard drive is 8 gig standard, but many people are moding them already. A friend of mine has an 80 gig in his, which he likes as it allows him to store about 30 games on the drive, great for parties, take your console with you and not lose any of your games.

yeah i have a spare 40 gig i was planning on installing:).This for me is a major bonus ,even if the xbox is bigger.Why is it smaller has be better?

Hi,

I thought they had a special format or something on the HDD so you must buy an Xbox HDD. Are you saying any HDD with the right size (i'm guessing 3.5") will work?

Regarding installing the game do you have a choice on how much to install OR is it all or nothing? When installing PC games I usually install everything minus the video this usually takes up a reasonable about of space.

Any standard hardrive will suffice but you need to have the box chipped as you get a new bios that allows the loading of full games and at this stage i think it is all or nothing.Its like copying a cd across to the hdd and takes about the same amount of time afaik.

personally i think about 80% of games in each system are crap. Hence why I only have 8 - 10 PS2 games including the ones the Misses bought.

Myself I am a keen sporting game fan. So probably doesnt matter which system as long as EA Develop. PS2 got my vote for the exclusive title of Final Fantasy X, and plus their record on the PSone.

But even some exclusive titles eventually suck. I bought Gran Turismo 3 early on, but now I do not play it.. I think I would nearly rather the arcade style of Ridge Racer V as opposed to Gran Turismo 3.

But at the end of the day, we will all support the system we own. Probably only DigitalG can have an unbiased opinion as he has all the consoles....
