WCW / nWo Revenge on n64 was the first to have a kick @$$ season mode. Obviously not as advanced as these days, but still a decent start.
Smackdown 1 and 2 were great in regards to match types, but it had a bit of a comical feel to it, with the animation not being as smooth as that on the 64.
WCW / nWo Revenge never had a season mode, only title mode!!

umm just a question. these results are for the australian territory?
well overall cube is second to ps2 in worldwide sales. So to say that the cube is going to die is absolute tripe. I own all 3 consoles(imported), but am yet to find an amazing game on either the ps2 or xbox that keeps me coming back for more. The cube on the other hand has metriod, eternal darkness, and the re series to keep me happy for some time to come. Just because it doesn't have as many games makes it a winner in my eyes, as they don't have as many rehashed has been titles. i mean serious sam for the xbox.......please get some innovation with your games ms!
so whats next for xbox....shenmue 2 yet another rehashed game!

I think we're primarily talking Australia wide here. Because, let's face it; if it's dead in Australia, then it's dead to us, isn't it? Of course, those who have import machines can import, but how many AUS Gamecube owners got their machine from o/s?

I have a PAL GC, and if it dies in aus i will import games!!(get it modded or free loader), let me tell u why it has failed here
not enuf marketing!!!
how many ads have they shown on TV for GC games & console?? not that many & also i heard that the owners of GC dont really care about the australian market( just like vinny mac with the WWE :rolling: ). they rather focus on the JAP & US market plus a little euro, its looks like we have been shafted once again

GC has to learn fromt the N64.. Most gamers are older than 10 years old and give us some adult games.
A number of the N64 were for kids. I had an N64 twice, and eventually opted out for a Sony PS1. The game choice for the Playstation was a million times better. Games for adults.
When going into this generation of consoles I weighed up my options.
Firstly the DC. It looked good, but they had no EA titles - which will affect my purchase.
PS2 - Sony had done well with the PS1. I felt they would continue to be great, plus the Final Fantasy and EA titles, aswell as a controller I liked, was going to keep me in business. Plus the release was at a time, when I was ready for a new console.
XBOX - Bit skeptical. I think the XBOX 2 may be a console war winner. But I just didn't think they would cut the mustard first time out. Even still I don't think they have topped the PS2. The DVD capabilities sure are great, but I have a DVD player so this was not an influence.
GC - Some quality titles, which were exclusive. Wave Race for instance, and Mario Party (awesome board game). But the games are still kiddie. Ok Res Evil isn't but they just don't have the punch required.
I do not think the GC will die, but they really do need to do something better than what they did with the N64.
My choice after I weighed it all up was the PS2 even with the high $749 price tag at the time. If I bought a console today, I would buy it again.
But let's hope Nintendo Game Cube does not die. Nintendo is part of history. Remember the ole G & W Orange Donkey Kong. Was a great game.
SEGA are part of history too. I was never a SEGA person in the pre Sony era, but they still deserve to be there. Good to see their games are still living on though,.

Haha, I remember the game and watch games. The donkey kong rocked with the dual screen.
Anyway back on topic, The Gamecube is dieing in Australia, no doubt about it. It's going well elsewhere in the world, but like I said earlier, We don't have a big enough market here to support 3 consoles.
I just heard the figures for the year on the radio,
57% of console sales where PS2,
And 35% X-box (low because of their awful start in the game)
They also said that it will continue to be a two horse race next year.

LOL; so much for Gamecube. :rolling:
Oh, for those people that can't do their maths:
Xbox's 35% + PS2's 57% = Not that many % left over for Gamecube. LOL
