I am experiencing some problems with XTSC-520 combo (satellite + terrestrial) STB?.
Does anyone out there own the same box?
My particular problem is related to the fact that, whenever I turn the unit off via the remote control power off button or front pannel mode terrestrial reception never resumes (antenna icon flashes at the top of the screen). Only way out of this problem is to turn the unit off and on again via the rear panel switch.
I took it back to reseller today for a warranty claim and it worked over there at least for a five minutes I was there filling in the warranty forms, so I decided to leave it with them for a day for a further testing.
At the end of the day I picked it up and was told that unit is OK.
Back at home, I hooked it again to the TV and aerial and problem is back again within few minutes. It was suggested to troubleshoot my home setup as it must be something wrong with my aerial, and I did exactly that, since I own an additional two terrestrial STBs (HUMAX and HOTCHIP). In a same spot (on top of the VCR), same cables and they work without a glitch. I could turn them off as many time as I want and they always resume terrestrial reception on power up. Tomorrow I am taking XTSC to neigborhood to see if it will work in other people's houses.
Has anyone had a similar experience with this or any other STB?
