The software for this card can't handle the 1080i HD channels (ABC, 9
& 10) yet or AC3 sound, it's not your system. There is software in
beta testing that can render 1080i HD and hopefully it will be
optimised sufficiently for general release soon (don't know what the
time frame is but i do know the beta exists). I think your system
should be able to handle it when they become available.

Paul,
can the existing software even save the HD stream to disk?
(So I can view it later with another player, or write to DVD.)
Or save any stream to disk without using the GUI?
What about streaming it across the network for watching on another PC?

Linux does all that on other cards. I'm not sure about the Aver.
