Hiyas,
Anyone know how to force the AverMedia DVB-T to add a channel? I was working
fine until I had to do a re-install and for some reason it refuses to show
channel 7 in Melb.
Quick scan, all channel scan, nothing.
Manually add the channel, nothing.
Displays every other channel and sub-channel fine.
Running on XP Pro.
TIA,

hey Hugh,

had all channels working fine and decided to
"upgrade" to latest version software and now can't seem
to catch CH 7 whatsoever.
have tried everything bar re-installing to the previous
version to see if it returns.
i assumed that maybe CH 7 had gone off air but i doubt
it... :-|
what version of Avermedia software r u running?

hi guys i too have an avermedia dvbt card when i set it all up 3 weeks ago i had all channels only thing is i couldnt get any HD channels to work properly, all SD chanels were fine, then i downloaded latest drivers and somwhere along the line i cant get chanels 2 or 10 ,i can get 7 ,9,sbs im in adelaide,i contacted avermedia in the uk asking about HD and their reply was that they have not programed the card yet to recieve HD tv,they told me that they were working on it and to be patient ,their answer was in about two lines of text, pretty crappy after sales service i might add and i am not happy,i was told that the card was HD capable when i bought it so if any one out there is considering buying this card i would leave it alone, there are other cards out there on the market that can recieve HD and work properly ,they may be a few dollars dearer but that is the way to go,also the back up support would have to be better than what i recieved from AVERMEDIA,
cheers fergi

hi guys,
i got corrected the other day with regard to the
HD issue and was told it WAS capable, but NOT
until new software was developed :-(
the biggest issue now is why channels have dissapeared
all of a sudden!!??????
since Hugh mentioned he had no luck with the original
cd loaded, i'm not gonna bother loading it.
one thing i remember having a look at when originally
hooking it up and wondering who else was transmitting
digital TV, i played around with the "advanced" features
in the "DVB-T" tab.
i think you can manually change the time the card apparently
uses to lock the channels in place so increasing this provides
the unit a little more or less time to "lock" on, if signal strength
is borderline. ( please correct me if not )
i'll give that a go and see if anything gives.
also, this is drawing a long bow but.......
i'm wondering if the software we recently loaded has
"triggered" or "set" anything on the card.....
ie/ if there's an eprom on there and it's set something incorrectly.
if so, could it be "reset" to factory default and restore the unit?
don't remember the layout without taking the card out, but does
anyone know if it has a "reset" option on board???
regards
Harry

hey guys,
i think maybe fergi hit on something!!
"IF" we may have some bad chippy's on board, then
a power down of the board "may" fix the problem.
ie/ if the board has it's knickers in a knot, no amount
of software mucking around will solve it and since the
bits on the card will always hold some power due to
onboard capapcitors and pc battery etc., just powering
down the pc, won't help either!
a registry sweep as well as running Avermedia's software
removal tool's after ripping the board out, may be worth
a try.
i'm open to anything new..........

Hi Guys
Taks a look at http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?showtopic=5429 for
your channel seven problem.
From memory there are no claims about the card doing HD on the box or
in any of the documentation, I'd be having a chat to whoever sold it
to you if they told you it could do HD.
