Hi All,

My copy of The Thing is badly scratched (dishonest online trader) and I want to get it fixed.

However, afaik; DVD Games may be different to DVD Movies and I dont want to see all my money go down the crapper if the resurfacing does damage, so would like to know how to make a backup of it before sending it in for repair (or if it is possible).

Cheers,
Mac

you need a mod chip, then copy the game across to the xbox hard drive. Then if the resurfaceing dosnt work, you will have to get a crossover cable and ftp it to a pc where you can burn it to dvd or mutiple cdrw.

mate all you have to do is drop into a video ezy or blockbuster, and get them to fix it with the disk wizard. I had the same problem with one of my dvd's, (PS2 GAME) and it works a treat now. its 100% fixed or its free. so head on down and get it fixed!

Thanks for that Scott & Ministry. :)

Just wondering, what is this 'crossover' cable you speak of and how much are they?

Cheers
Mac

yeah it cost me $8.50 to resurface mine. but i think its a small price to pay for being able to play a game that is unable to be played otherwise :-)

I can get re-surfacing done for $5.50 a pop or 4 for $20.

If anyone has some that need doing, give us a yell.
Oh yeah, that's return shipping inclusive.
