$3-4k for a 116cm TV set is absurd.

On a trip to the US in early 2003, I saw 47"/116cm 16:9 HD panasonics
selling for US$888 (A$1250)

You probably wont be able to beat Sony's WEGA, but then again I don't know
too much about rear projections.

That's the RRP. You'll find it cheaper in stores, but it still won't be that
cheap.

Didnt your mother ever tell you if you have nothing good to say no to say
anything at all. Your a complete tool "Goforit" you have no input in this
forum that benefits anyone.

The easy answer to your question Jace is import from overseas. Bare in mind
though you will have to pay a lot for postage and maybe some import tax. It
will still be cheaper in the long run though. I import electrical
components from the USA and China. After all postage costs I get roughly 4
Items for the price of 1. On one lot I was able to get 20 for the price of
1. It's rediculous. Top of the range dvd players can be on your shelf for
less than $150(AU) imported directly from Hong Kong. The same unit can be
bought here in aus for $395(AU)

You do the maths!
