Stargate boxsets - seasons 3, 4 & 5

Amazon.uk have them available for preorder. Cost is around $120 shipped (or about $110 if you are fortunate enough to get a refer-a-friend 5GBP off coupon).

IIRC Season 3 is due 27 January, with season 4 due 27 February and season 5 due on 27 March.

They are obvioulsy R2 but I would hardly be surprised if they were R2/R4. The season 3 is a six disc set (just like the individual R4 comprising season 3 (volumes 8 - 13).

But seriously there is no word on their release. I thought they might release season 3 at the same time they released teh individual dvds of season 2 (they did that with season 1 when season 2 released in the boxset), but thye have been available for preorder for some time now and no season 3.

There is no doubt about it that if you want season 4 and/or season 5 this year you will have to get them from R2. It will just cost you about $50 more for each set! However that is still about $20 per dvd so it is hardly what you would call expensive. I will pay the extra buy buying extra copies and flogging them of at the atm...err I mean eBay. :p

But the R2's don't have any Special Features where with the R1's you'll get a few interviews and docos thrown in, so maybe it's worth the wait?

The "atm" option doesn't sound too bad, but a bit risky ;)
