Hello to all,
Is anyone using or have thoughts on the following widescreen TV
http://panasonic.com.au/catalogue/details.cfm?pcode=TX%2D76DT30A&pdiv=CTV
IDTV&cat=1_1
( Hope the above link works )
Local Hardley Normal has them for $2499.
I like the idea of a built in SD digital tuner, also the set has SCART
connections ( As does my Denon DVD player)
Cheers
Steve

The model is
76cm Tau Integrated Digital TV (Model: TX-76DT30A)
( if the link is not complete )

Not worth getting an integrated set. They want $550 more than the 76cm
without integrated tuner, yet these tuners on their own can be bought for
$250.

I haggled and spent the best part of a day getting the price down to $2500
for a TX-76W200A which with a stb can deliver 1080i/576p and 480p etc. with
progressive scan. Their RRP is about the $3200 mark but you can haggle, and
as I mentioned in a previous post check the 10 DVD offer is still going?
Excellent TV, just watched the The Two Towers Extended edition, 'ohhh such
clarity it sees my precious...'

See my recent post about the Panasonic TX-76PW200A - far superior TV although without the digital tuner. You can get this TV for around $2400 and as other have said, get a separate tuner for a couple of hundred.
The UK equivalent of the model you are looking at is reviewed in the April edition of what hifi I think (certainly one of the more recent ones).
Happy Shopping!

Oh dear :-(
All these "you got hosed" messages are getting very boring.... I doubt you have even even seen $1700.... let alone bought anything for it.
