Hello,
Does anyone own this current LG model? on the site it states it's 78cm with progressive scan, 100hz, 2 component inputs and other various inputs for $2,499. Can anyone please tell me if they have this set what it is like, and if a worthwhile purchase?
I like the specs of this model and dimensions as it isn't as deep as some other models and relatively cheap.

A friend bought the smaller version of this and is very happy with it (he paid $1050 for the 66cm). This weekend, I looked at the 78cm and saw it marked for sale at $1999 in one place (I think it might have been a retravision store in Bondi) so you can probably get this model for around the $1700 mark with a bit of bargaining and shopping aorund.

I opted for the Panasonic TX-76PW200A which I managed to get for $2400 (see my other post) which I think most people on this list would recommend over the LG. Personally, I didn't like the big shiny black band around the LG, and the speakers on the side.

Having said that, if you have a smaller budget, the LG looks pretty impressive. My friend says the picture on the 66cm using component inputs from his DVD is just awesome.
