Slightly off topic, but just thought I'd mention the Guns 'n Roses hour of videos on RAGE tonight - check your local playlist for more info. I'll be there! :)

YES - I noticed that too!

Memories indeed - apparently there is a greatest hits package to come out on CD in Australian on April 11.

However, Axl is possibly going to try and stop the release as it is "unsanctioned".

Vitalogy - Pearl Jam

Nothing better than cranking up Spin the Black Circle and belting the song out at the top of your lungs to get rid of stress (but I think I scared the neighbours, their apartment is up for auction next week and inspections were today and tomorrow, I think there worried the crazy lady next door will bring the price down  )

my maths teacher, who is a nun, was teaching us circles the other day and said "if you spin the black circle" in reference to some circle properties (i don't quite know how)...i'm convinced she is a pearl jam fan now.

Hee hee hee - I hear you on that one!

The moron across the road from me has a karaoke system, and he sings TERRIBLY to TERRIBLE music!

I am amazed I ever managed to sell my place in the face of that :-)

I play it so loud that they don't know that I'm a terrible singer. If I don't scare them away then my druggy, techno head neighbours will. They sit outside smoking wearing somesort of shiny material with stars plastered all over them with fishnet tanks.... and thats just the boys!

Ok, time to mellow out now that I'm destressed, next on is Jimmy Eat World - Bleed American

They came out here late last year and played to a small crown at the Hi-Fi bar and ballroom. The tickets sold out so quickly and I was devestated when I couldn't get any. My last boss remembered how hard I tried to convert him to their music so when Christmas came, guess what my bonus was?? Yep, he remembered me and snagged two tickets for me as soon as they were released :dD He didn't like them so I didn't even have to take my boss to the gig! BEST BOSS EVER!

FYI: The lead singer has a really squeaky talking voice, it was very wierd when he was talking to the crowd and then he was singing some great songs with a great voice. These guys are awesome live!

Hmmmm - this is starting to get decidedly kinky :-) LOL

I've only "got into them" in the last few months. Basically since I finally discovered who sung the so-good-its-scary song "in the middle".

Hope they come out to Australia again soon - because I will sooooo be there to see them!

They were the highlight of the BDO for mine - better than Foo Fighters even (although for Foo I was miles away, for JEW I was about 3 people back, so that makes it unfair). Tried to get tickets to the Sydney show the next day but it was sold out. I liked the album, but wasn't a big fan of "Sweetness" - until I heard it live. Probably the most I have ever enjoyed a song live, it's incredible with everybody singing along.

Following in the slightly OT frame, but on-topic in a "80s rockers" sense, the track-listing for Def Leppard's up-coming covers album has been released:

The Rocker (Thin Lizzy)
Heroes (David Bowie)
Icicles (Badfinger)
Stay With Me (Small Faces)
I'm the Leader Of The Gang (Gary Glitter)
Sheer Heart Attack (Queen)
Ballroom Blitz (Sweet)
Under The Roof Of Love (Geordie)
Lock Up Your Daughters (Slade)
Let's Stick Together (Bryan Ferry)
Slider (T.Rex)
Hypnosis (Mud)
It's All Over Now (Rod Stewart)
Thunderbuck Ram (Mott the Hoople)

Some incredibly odd selections - but I await to hear how they go covering Heroes and Ballroom Blitz - two of my all-time favoritesess.

Similar to JEW, now listening to Fountains of Wayne - Welcome Interstate Mangers.

Gorgeous gorgeous GORGEOUS melodies.

And "Stacey's Mom" is a pissa of a song :-)

If Then Else - The Gathering

If you have never heard of them - check out "Shot To Pieces". An absolute barn-storming song.

Comalies - Lacuna Coil.

I hear that FINALLY they are starting to be accepted in America. Well about smegging time! As much as I hate it, because they will probably become over-commercialised because of it, on the other hand I say "well done" because, my god they are good.

Lagwagon - Blaze.

If you like "Punk-pop" a-la Blink 182, do yourself a favour and checkout Lagwagon ;-)

Totally gonna freak anyone reading this out, by saying that I am currently listening to:

Hayley Westenra :-)

Hee hee hee - now listening to Hayley's version of "Wuthering Heights"!

Houndsey would probably despise it, but I think it's kinda nice :-)
