I like watching TV shows late at night and I have come across a few shows that I think deserve better.
For eg.
Double The Fist - 11:30pm Friday - ABC
This is a great show and extremely funny. Should be moved to a better timeslot or a more watched channel. No offence ABC.
The Glasshouse - 10:30pm Friday - ABC
Fantastic, hilarious and amazing. It is gaining in popularity which is very hard to do in a poor timeslot on the ABC. Should be picked up by Ten. Dunno why it hasn't after over 100 great episodes.
Up late with Darren and Brose - 10:30pm Saturday - Channel 31 (Local Melbourne)
Fantastic show with great ideas and hosts, but not going anywhere with a low budget. Deserves better!
Champagne Comedy - 10:00pm Saturday - Channel 31
This show features amateur comedians. It is so funny. I love laughing at them, not with them. Some are quite good and should have more coverage.
Hamish and Andy - CANCELLED - Channel 7
I almost cried after this show was cancelled. This was a great show and was just starting to get noticed when Channel 7 discarded it, like a lot of other good shows. Should be put back on the air!
Whose Line Is It Anyway - Floats around 3-4am on random days - Channel 9
This show is amazing and should be on prime time. It occaisonally flicks on randomly usually in the wee hours of the morning. The guys who host it are geniuses.
Does anyone watch any of the above shows? Or have you got any other fantastic shows that deserve better? Remember any great shows that were cancelled or pushed to a poor timeslot? I would to hear about them.

It eventually got cancelled on free to air after Channel 9 (or 10? I forget) aired series 4 over and over for about a year at a 6am Saturday timeslot. Robot Wars was a show that I liked to watch very much, even though the show was aimed at a young audience.
Out of the ones above, I rather enjoy The Glasshouse and Who's line is it anyway? Can't say I've heard of the others.

Angel and Dark Angel have been moved to late night spots.
They are both great and rated well in prime time spots so I don't know why they have been treated soo badly.
Did anyone watch Clockwork Orange last Sunday night. It was brilliant even though it was chillingly weird.

Oh yes
I forgot all about Dark Angel.
I LOVE that show. Well not really, just Jessica Alba. I used to set the timer to tape but can't be bothered anymore. DESERVES BETTER!
Dark Angel - 11:45 Thursday - Channel 7
EDIT: I forgot all about Robot Wars as well. That was on at 6:30am a while ago. Great show. DESERVES BETTER! I should write up a massive list.
Robot Wars - CANCELLED - Channel 10

Robot Wars?? come on, that show deserved to be axed. A better title would of been Nerds United.
As for Dark Angel, I think that because the show never made it past 2 seasons, channel 7 really didn't see the point in giving it a second chance at a decent time slot.
The same can be said for another show that 7 has, and that's miracles, only had a one season life span, which I was p*ssed off about, just as I was getting into it (even with channel 7 playing the episodes out of order) I find out that there was only one season. :(
Exactly the same story with John Doe on channel 9. Only had the one season (which has all been screened, finished up a couple of weeks ago) :(
Oh, ignore the edited by linton on your post ;)

You still haven't gotten the hang of things yet have you Linton? :p
One show which I feel deserved a better time slot is Futurama (surprise, surpirse :rolling: ). When it first came out here, it was aired at 10:00 which wasn't a particularly great time slot, but it got worse when Seven moved it to after midnight :( For those who don't know, it's a cartoon by Matt Groening and David X Cohen set in the year 3000 which is a bit of send up of other science fiction shows/movies. Futurama's also been axed by Fox so unfortunately only four seasons of it have been aired (there are rumours that another two seasons have been produced but never aired). They cancelled Futurama far too early because the show still had a fair bit of potential left in it :( Anyway that's my rant for the night.
To quote Bender:
"Another classic science fiction show cancelled before it's time"

I have to say La Femme Nikita was highly underrated when it was on - although I give props to Channel 9 for screening the whole series (albeit late at night and all over the place). It still rates as one of the best TV series ever in my book.
Farscape is another one - Channel 9 isn't even bothering to show the fourth and final season (be ashamed, be very ashamed Channel 9 programmers - a great Aussie Sci-fi and you've torpedoed it).
On the interrnational level - Firefly by Joss Whedon was wicked and totally trashed by network executives who screened the episodes out of order and at irregular time slots. Rumour has a comeback on the books after fans got active (here's hoping). There's a movie out soon, but the series hasn't even screened in Oz yet.

Some good shows coming out here. Sorry zoidy I forgot all about Futurama. Should've been given a chance. I guess some people just can't handle that amount of humour. Clean up your act Channel 7!

I'm with you there on the Farscape. Channel 9 not showing it forced me to download all 22 bloody episodes (over 9gb on 56k dial-up!!), I just wish Universal would hurry up with the DVD release.
From what I've read, Dark Angel was cancelled to make room for firefly, then it didn't even complete it's first season before getting the axe

Yes Yes Yes! I loved that show. Skeet Ulrich reminds me a bit of Johnny Depp...
Another one was Bad Girls, now relegated to very late on a Friday night. Britain's version of Prisoner!

I tried to watch an episode of Bad Girls, I thought they might actaully be bad girls :p
All I found was middle aged women in jail, bitching about each other :(
OZ is a lot better prison series, but I wouldn't class it as unnoticed. :D
