40 gig will be enough if you only put games on the hd not dvd's and delete the demos and stuff. the average game you can get down to around 1 gig if you have the time to search through the folders.

I will sell a 40gig for $110 + postage with your choice of evolution X or avalaunch plus some applications.

40GB is nowhere near enough.
With HDD being so cheap these days, you're better off buying a biggun.
I got 80GB and it's always full. I'm trading up to 160GB once I get some $$ together. I should have gone 120GB in the first place :rolling:

Why scrimp on the hdd, and waste time screwing around removing cutscenes etc, spend up, get the space, and enjoy the game in its entirety! :)

to my knowledge you wouldnt need an 8MB cache HDD for X-box

so no need to spent extra for 8mb cache HDD

SATA wouldn't be a good option either... A basic drive is the go, no huge cache or hi speed required. I think 5400 ones were popular awhile back, mainly due to alleged heat issues.

Can you even use SATA on an xbox? I thought they could only take the standard IDE drives.

That is why I said "wouldn't be a good option" ;)
